Study Recruiting Participants – The Benefits of Social Support in Families of Pediatric Stroke Survivors

Occupational therapy graduate student, Madison Drees, has requested that CHASA assist in recruiting participants for her graduate research study. The Benefits of Social Support in Families of Pediatric Stroke Survivors. Madison has provided the following description of the survey:

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship, if any, of social support, family functioning, and perceived stress for parents who have a child diagnosed with a stroke. In the current literature, there is a lack of research of social support for the families of pediatric stroke survivors. Many times individuals overlook the idea of having a child diagnosed with a stroke because of the rarity, however it occurs more often then one may think. By conducting this study, more knowledge could be gained for the general human knowledge. You can learn more about the survey and participate here.
