Unilateral and Perinatal Brain Injury Language Study

The University of Chicago is seeking participants for the fMRI study on reading and language comprehension. Ideally, they would like to conduct three annual sessions with your child, as your child learns to be a better reader. Each session will take 3 to 3.5 hours to complete, including an nour of in-scanner testing. You will be compensated a minimum of $100 for each completed session, plus travel expenses.

To qualify, your child must be:

  • a monolingual English speaker
  • enrolled in second or third grade
  • have a unilateral brain lesion caused by a pre- or perinatal brain injury
